COVID & THE STUDIO
Covid precautions
The health and safety of my clients, my team and myself are of paramount importance. So I would like to take this opportunity to outline my plans for the studio going forward. We will follow the Covid-19 advice given by HM Government, to the best our abilities.
1. Studio cleaning.
Before and after every studio session the studio will be cleaned. All surfaces that could be touched and all props used are sanitised, using either our steamer for large material props and disinfectant wipes and spays for hard surfaces. All smaller blankets and outfits used are washed between portrait sessions and are stored in individual plastic containers when not in use.
2. Time between sessions
At least 24 hours will be left between newborn sessions and 2 hours between all other 1 hour sessions to enable a deep clean of all surfaces and accessories and to ensure there is no contact between customers arriving and leaving the premises.
3. Sick policy/ session rescheduling
Customers will be required to disclose if anyone coming to the session has had a fever or any other symptoms such as coughs, sickness or vomiting or has been in contact with anyone displaying Covid-19 symptoms, suspected of having Covid-19 or has had a Covid-19 positive test result, also if you or anyone in your household has been asked to self isolate. Appointments will be re-arranged as best we can, all sessions include a deposit of £100 which can be used towards your session images, however if a session needs to be rescheduled with less than 48hours notice given the deposit of £100 will be forfeited to pay for the studio time.
4. Self monitoring
All photographers / staff and customers will be required to monitor their temperatures and health before coming into the studio. We also advise to avoid any high risk areas in the run up to your session, this includes public transport and hospital visits. Disposable gloves and masks will be available in the studio and these should be used as deemed necessary and appropriate.
5. Arrival at the studio
On arrival at the studio clients will be required to remove their shoes and wash their hands throughly either using our provided hand sanitiser or with soap and water at our sink. Parents will be asked to supervise their children at all times and prevent them from going into other areas of the studio or office and from touching displays and props that are not being used as part of their session.
6. Hand washing
All photographers and staff will be required to thoroughly wash their hands for a minimum of 20 seconds before all sessions. Appropriate sanitising hand gels will be made available and customers requested to use these upon arrival at the studio.
7. Social distancing
All photographers and staff agree that every effort will be made to keep the 2m social distancing advice at all times where possible in the studio. This includes shaking hands and moving / adjusting hair or clothes. Parents may be asked to help move their children and babies as requested by the photographer. During the portrait session instructions to the clients will be given from the distance stipulated by and in accordance with the social distancing rules. If social distancing is not possible the photographer will be wearing protective personal equipment including a face mask, face shield, gloves and clothing covers where appropriate.
8. Appointments and collections
The studio is operating an appointment only booking system. We will not be offering any drop ins at this time, including passport photographing and customer photo printing. If you do arrive at the studio without an appointment we will be unable to let you in. If you need to collect work please phone or email us for an appointment.
9. Continuing updates
We will continue to monitor the government website and alter our polices in accordance with the governments recommendations.
